DECEMBER 2018, CHRISTMAS IS COMING

We learned about materials and its properties and also about raw and manufactured materials. We created the publicity for the next "Christmas Caring Market" and started creating our own materials to buy on it. 3º will collaborate with recycled paper and candles, all handmade by pupils. It's amazing create paper just with old paper and water!! We love it!!!

Thanks to our teacher Sandra all the school learned about disability and how we can help disabled people. It was a special and funny day that helped everybody to raise awareness.
We wrote words each other on our back, completed a route blindly, put the donkey's tail following instructions (blindly again), tried to catch a ball with bells, run with our partner leg tie together... it was amazing!!

We started our school Chritmas season with our traditional Christmas tree. The Christmas ornaments were made by all the pupils using recycled yogurts and assembled by the AMPA. It looks very beautiful!

Our class continue elaborating our products for the Charing Christmas Market. Now it's turn for candles. It's very fun and they look really cute.

These are our products: recycled paper and candles.

Today we had a very special guest: the Royal Page. He came to our school to collect the cards the pupils wrote for The Three Wise Men. He listened our petitions and changed our letter for a candy.

We also made a christmas craft. We learned that in the USA they usually decorate Christmas trees with candy canes. Merry Christmas!

To end our products for the Christmas Caring Market today we are making salt dough. Pupils had lots of fun, they even said it's the better activity we have ever made. They kneaded the dough , cutted with the crop cutters and painted.

The great day arrived at last!! The market stall looks beautiful thanks to our delegated mums. It has been a great work by all the educative community. Congratulations!!

The coordinator of the ONG "Semillas de Esperanza" told us about what they think to do with all the money collected. There are pupils that has to walk four hours to school in South America and they help these pupils to get school material and also food for their new school canteen.

Everything SOLD OUT!! Our two classes raised almost 100€!!  All the school collected about 800€. Congratulations everybody!!

After reading about Christmas celebrations around the world we had a typical christmas products form around the world tasting. We tasted "Roscón de Reyes" from Spain and México, turrón de chocolate from Spain, Panettone from Italy, spiced cookies from Sweden and "Tronco de Navidad" from France.

Our favourite dessert is Panettone, it's delicious!!

Last wednesday we visited a local nativity scene. First of all they talked about horses and other animals trained to help us and then we visited the nativity scene. It's huge and there are some scenes with movement.

We made a Christmas craft, a snowy village. They look beautiful:

The last week we prepared our own cracker. We need it to sing our christmas carol...surprise!!

Singing "Pop, crack, bang goes the Chritmas Cracker". Great job!!

The last day of school before Christmas is very funny. We meet the Three Wise Men and we eat "churros" and watch films.
