OCTOBER 2018, A SPOOKY BUT FUNNY MONTH

During october we have done a lot of funny activities in our school.

In 1st course they studied "City and Town" and they learned lots of facts about our village, Mengibar.

2nd course travelled through Switzerland and Morocco, learning lots of things about these places through songs and activities.

The 3rd course learned lots of amazing facts about planets, the Universe and our planet, The Earth.

All the bilingual courses met Dr. Seuss, an american writer for children. We met The Cat in the Hat and worked about a wonderful sentence.

Also in October, wednesday 31th, all the school celebrated Halloween. Teachers and pupils from 1st to 3rd course dressed up in spooky ways. we learnt songs and made crafts.

 

Our Language Assistant, Brianna, show us a presentation about Halloween in her country. It was very funny!

And thanks to the teacher Sandra, after break we played a lot of games in a Halloween Gymkana!

We played in groups and each group played different games. we played pass the pumpkin, throw the ball, catch the witch...

It was a perfect and very funny day!!  

SEPTEMBER. Let's start!

SEPTEMBER

We begin this school year with lots of hope and excitement to learn new things!

Welcome all new students who are intergrating into the bilingual project and we have a school year full of adventures lying ahead of us!!

Little Artists

First course are studying living things in the Science subject. Plants are living things...and they are learning a lot of these friends. Also, they are creating beautiful drawings inspired by Van Gogh. Look at their Art Gallery. It's beautiful!

They also are learning about the face and its parts. So they are investigating about Miro's paintings. Inspiring by his work they created all these amazing pintures.

Solar system through art

We are learning lots of things about planets and Earth. We have even learn a beautiful song! We know that the sky is full of stars and the Sun is the biggest one in our system.

So, according to increase our knowledge we are learning about Van Gogh and his "Starry Night". You can see a beautiful but touching landscape of a sky just before sunrise. We get inspired by the artist and made our own creations. We hope you enjoy.

Halloween

We love this spooky festivals because we can go to school in our favourite costumes. So we can be ghosts, witches, skeletons or whatever.

Solar System

This unit we are learning about the Solar System. We know that there are eight planets: Mercury,Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. 

We are learning about Earth too. It is moving all the time!! It's known as the Blue Planet because it has got lots of water. 

We are going to prepare a Solar System Mobile:

Beautiful, isn't it? We are learning about rotation and revolution. The Solar System is in continuous movement.

STUDYING LIVING THINGS THROUGH ART

Our bilingual classes also studied plants in the Art and Crafts subject. It has been very interesting because we discovered that many artist used plants, flowers and trees in their pictures that nowadays are very famous. 

We worked together and had a very good time colouring spirals, cutting them ang glueing all together. 

We also played a game called "Musical Hugs" and all the pupils get several hugs from different partners. 

We hope you like it because we LOVE IT!!!!!
